Give the option to force encrypted backups (iTunes sync) or not
Enrolled devices require encrypted backups when syncing with iTunes. It would be nice to have control over this.

I believe the "Force encrypted backups" option in the Restrictions profile should satisfy this and there hasn't been any new activity on this request for a while, so I'm closing this. Please feel free to open a new suggestion if there is still a need here.

agreed, the problem with this is people will set a password and then not remember it. All users in my org that have iPhones have laptops, these are already encrypted so encrypting the backup causes more trouble for me than not. I have never used this option because the few users who have enabled it, when they needed it couldn't provide the password and we were dead in the water. Forcing the encrypted backup makes my life harder.
