How do I disable location tracking?

SimpleMDM can optionally track the location of devices during regular day-to-day device usage. SimpleMDM tracks location with the SimpleMDM mobile app that is installed to devices.

In some situations, tracking may not be desired. There are two ways to disable location tracking as an administrator:
  1. At the device group level. From the device group details screen, select the "Settings" tab, uncheck "Track device location" and click save. 
  2. Disabling SimpleMDM app deployment and/or removing the app from devices. App deployment is managed from the "Assignment" tab in the Apps section.
