Why isn't the "Update iOS" feature working?

The "Update iOS" feature only works for devices that are:
  1. in Supervised mode, and
  2. enrolled using Apple DEP
Apple does not currently allow updating the OS on an iOS device in any other situations.

You can check the eligibility of a device by navigating to device details. If an "Update iOS" option appears next to the current OS version, the device can be updated.
