    I can see this as being frustrating if you are simply moving a device to a group temporarily, especially if the original group had lots of applications.

    Maybe a better idea would be an "Uninstall Unassigned" button for a group, so all devices in a group would have unassigned applications removed on mass, but on demand.

    Scenario:
    The inbuilt apps such as Numbers only work with an AppleID.

    However, if the app is deleted, and then a licence acquired through Apple School manager, and deployed fresh they can work without requiring an AppleID sign-in.

    However, to do this each app needs to be 'managed' one-by-one, and only then can they be deleted.
