  1. macOS Packages in App & Media > Catalog - macOS Version & Architecture Scoping

    For various reasons we don't use the Munki integration included with SimpleMDM (we deploy a version through Automated Device Deployment ), so we upload a package into the App & Media > Catalog and configure that version to be automatically installed at a device level.

    There are circumstances where we'd like to be able to apply macOS version scopes and architecture scopes to this package (and potentially others).
    For example, maintaining an older version of a package that is known to only work for a specific range of macOS versions, or where you don't want newer versions of packages deployed…

  3. Add more endpoints to SAML enrolments for full functionality

    We are trying to implement our Azure B2C login for authentication into enrolments to help speed up onboarding new customers - we are an MSP.

    When we set up SAML for access to the console, we can get it working fine; we can see and access the 'callback' and 'metadata' URL's ie.
    https://a.simplemdm.com/admin/auth/saml/123456789123456789/callback
    https://a.simplemdm.com/admin/auth/saml/123456789123456789/metadata - Azure B2C needs these address to function.

    But when we try to set this up for SAML enrolments, both the 'callback' and 'metadata' URL's aren't accessible for the new SAML Audience ie. https://a.simplemdm.com/device/enrollment/authentication/saml/987654321987654321.

    Can this be enabled?

  5. Teamviewer runs every time it updates

    Hi!

    Would it be possible to make Teamviewer updates silent when pushed through Munki? The app opens after every update.

  6. Integrate Munkireport or Sal

    Please integrate Munkireport, Sal, or some type of reporting and smart group criteria functionality. It would be lovely to have hosted reporting built into SimpleMDM. Munkireport is the most obvious choice due to the sheer amount of great modules available. Thank you!

  7. Add an "Assigned Via" column to the "Installs" tab for apps

    Add an "Assigned Via" column to the "Installs" tab for apps, preferably a sortable one, that shows either "Device" or the name of the Device Group which the device belongs to that is assigned an app. The column would be similar to the "Assigned Via" column on the profiles tab of a device. This would make it so that if you need to uninstall an app from a specific Device Group of devices, but not all of your devices, you can quickly see which devices are assigned an app because of a specific Device Group membership and you could select…

  9. WWDC21 - Add support for real-time ASM/ABM assignment notifications

    From What's new in WWDC 2021:

    MDM vendors can subscribe to real-time notifications for state changes to assignments, assets, and registered users, so they don’t need to continually request the latest state. The notifications are opt-in, and vendors will receive notifications for just the types they subscribe to in client configuration. Features include:
    • Assignment notifications: Notify in real-time exactly what assignments have successfully been performed and to which devices.

  10. Install macOS VPP apps using this MDM channel for user AND device

    I deploy User Enrolment and Automated Enrolment devices using the VPP apps function.

    Currently I need the "Install macOS VPP apps using this MDM channel" to be device level install for Automated Enrolment devices.

    However this breaks the User Enrolment devices to deploy VPP apps.

    Can you add an option to allow VPP app deployment by deployment type (i.e. User for User Enrolment, Device for Automated Enrolment)?

  12. Schedule Regular Application Updates

    Similar to scheduled iOS update policy, we would love to see clients check in for applications in our catalog and perform regular scheduled non-business hours updates. This would be for all Apps (VPP and Enterprise).

    When updating enterprise app binaries, users sometimes reject the "Smart Update" if they feel it interrupts their workday, so a regular daily or weekly check in to our catalog by the devices to find the most recent app version available would keep all devices current across both VPP and enterprise apps.

  13. Automatically switch accounts if necessary when navigating to serial number URL

    For users with access multiple SimpleMDM accounts, using direct-to-device links like https://a.simplemdm.com/admin/devices/?serial_number=C02J20WTXY3B only works if the device is in the last account used. It would be extremely helpful to jump to the proper account, particularly for creating links to SimpleMDM devices from other products such as Watchman or Addigy.

  18. Some form of labels or colour indicators

    For example I can select a number of machines that need the admins attention or the team and put a red colour filter on them. Also sort or filter a list via its label/Colour/Flag what ever.

    Off the back of that I can tag any of the admins on a specific device and it can notify them of that specific device.
