Make tableview sotable
option to click on the header of a column and the table gets sorted by the chosen column. A second click inverts the sorting. E. g. to which app used the most space or you see which apps are managed or or not.

Allow switching of a device from group to group via the API
Switch a device from one group to another, with a Cron job for instance, via the API.

Organize configuration profiles by device group
I'd like to organize all my configuration profiles by device group rather than all bundled together
1 voteSimpleMDM already allows you to assign configuration profiles on a per-device group basis. To assign a profile to a device group, go to the “Configurations” tab in the device group details page and check the configurations you’d like to apply to that group.

Allow multiple ipa files to be uploaded in one go, with a progress bar/monitor
This will help speed up the process as you can put all your ipa files in to upload, then carry on with your day. Rather than checking back for when it completes to do the next one.

Don't ask for 2FA token for every login
Every major service implementing 2FA has the ability to mark a computer as "trusted" so the service does not asks for a new token each and every time the user logs in.
I love the added security provided by 2FA, but getting my phone out multiple times a day to log into SimpleMDM is quite tedious.I'd love for SimpleMDM to have the ability to remember I already logged in from my computer and only ask for 2FA on this device every few weeks instead of every connection.

Automatic device naming
To make automatic enrollment suitable for many devices, we would like to be able to configure a device name "template". New devices should automatically be assigned a name according to this template when they are enrolled.
Name templates should support certain dynamic fields:
- Sequential ID: Auto-incrementing counter used for new devices
- Device-type: iPhone/iPad depending on the type of device
This functionality is already available in Apple Configurator 2, so it would be natural to have this available in SimpleMDM as well.

Control iOS update notification/Push to Supervised Devices
If possibility the ability to delay the notification and push to device of an iOS update until our IT and Dev group have had a chance to test and certify our apps on that iOS version.

Gaming Kiosk
Lock tablet in a form of a gaming kiosk mode. Kids can just play certain games installed, nothing else. No settings app, no rearranging icons.
1 voteYou can achieve this by creating a home screen layout and also creating an app restrictions list. Make sure the device is in supervised mode in order to permit this functionality in SimpleMDM.

Allow remote blocking of specific apps for supervised devices
As of iOS 9.3, the Apple Configurator 2 supports blocking individual apps by package name. It would be awesome if this would be possible from SimpleMDM.
8 votesThis feature is available today. Create an app restriction list under Settings > Config and then assign it to groups under the Restrictions tab of group details.

We need invoices that are compliant with current tax law
We need invoices that are compliant with current tax law. As company we have to store them and give them to our tax consultant. Would be great if they will be provided via SimpleMDM user account and could be downloaded monthly. They should contain the following details:
- Sender of the invoice (company name, address)
- Recipient of the invoice: (company name, address)
- Invoice number
- Invoice amount
- Provided services that have to be paid

Increase frequency and reliability of location updates
Even when background app refresh and location services settings are correct, location updates seem sporadic. It would be nice if location update frequency and reliability could be improved, or perhaps a manual "force location update" option could be added.
5 votesLocation is now updated on a best-effort basis at the same time that the device inventory is refreshed. Additionally, a manual refresh button is available below the historic location map in device details.

Allow multiple email adresses (aliases) per email account
When configuring an email account for a device, the form disallow commas in the "email address" field. This is problematic when configuring aliases for the email account.
The syntax used in iOS configuration profiles is a list of adresses separated by commas. I did not find any official documentation on this, but this is supported by profiles created within Apple Configurator 2, and it used to work for us with AirWatch.
For example, allowing such values as :
[email protected], [email protected]would solve the problem.

Support 'Payload Variables' in Configurations
Allow the use of dynamic 'payload variables' within Config Providers.
e.g dynamically use Serial Number, MAC Address or IMEI number within a Web Clip or VPN provider - to use device specific info as an identity or username etc etc.
