  2. Add Push Certificate about to expire notification

    Add a "when the Push Certificate is about to expire" event to notifications.

    If the email of the AppleID used to issue the Push Certificate is not actively monitored, it is easy to miss the email alerts. And letting the Push Certificate expire can cause significant interruptions.

    To prevent such interruptions, please add a "when the Push Certificate is about to expire" event to notifications, so that the alert can be sent to actively monitored email addresses.

    This was added a while back we seem to have forgotten to mark it complete here. This option is now available under the Notifications section.

  3. Add Discord to Munki

    You already have Slack and Teams. Discord may be geared towards gamers, but it is a useful communication tool. It has screen sharing and audio and video conferencing, in addition to text chat. All are free. You can upgrade your account (or the "server" you are using) to allow bigger file uploads and higher resolution for screen sharing and video chat.

  6. Allow support for creating Munki type assignment groups via API

    Add ability to use the SimpleMDM API to create new assignment groups using Munki. This is currently not possible and add new assignment groups are standard types.

    Where can I request you add a Shared App for your Munki directory?

  9. Add new RingCentral app to shared apps.

    RingCentral is moving to their all in one RingCentral app (aka Glip) for both desktop and iPhone. It would be nice to see this added to the Shared Apps for deployment.

    The latest version of RingCentral in the Shared App catalog is the Glip version binary.

  10. WWDC21 - Software Updates command macOS 12

    Please add support for commands related to software update specifically:

    InstallLater
    MaxUserDeferrals
    SoftwareUpdateSettings

    Commands are not yet documented in official documentation (Source: What’s New for Enterprise and Education - WWDC June 2021)

  11. lock message for Macs

    The Apple MDM framework has allowed a message to be sent with a lock command since macOS 10.14.

  13. Please add support for both M1 and Intel versions of Adobe CC installer in the shared catalog

    Until Adobe gets it together and makes a universal installer, it would be really helpful to have both an M1 and intel installer option in the shared catalog

    The Universal version of the Adobe Creative Cloud installer has been added to the Shared Apps Catalog.

    Since this request was posted, we've added many additional options for enabling notifications for accounts. If there is a specific notification that has not been addressed or some cadence that you'd like to see added, please do not hesitate to submit a new suggestion.

  16. Specify package install order during prestage

    The prestage_installer pkg that gets used when more than one pkg is assigned to a device group doesn't currently have a method to specify installation.

    Some vendors supply their products as multiple packages and some have dependencies of one being installed before another (see: jamf Connect trying to run the installed app if it doesn't detect a LaunchAgent on disk that is installed by another .pkg). For reasons like this, being able to guarantee the order of pkg installation is key.

  19. Permit override of receipts or installs keys in Munki pkginfo

    As per the documentation (https://help.pdq.com/hc/en-us/articles/6430464122907-Custom-PkgInfo-for-Munki-apps) the following keys are not permitted to overridden by the user:

    installs
    receipts

    I believe the intent of the restriction on these in the manifest is to prevent installation issues, but these keys are vitally important to fix the installation of packages that include sub packages that are not always installed.

    Without being able to override these options, some packages that include a large amount of sub packages that are not always installed (for example, architecture specific ones) will get stuck in a state where Munki believes…

    We have added the ability to set the "receipts" key in the custom PkgInfo. From what I currently understand, this should solve most scenarios, but if the "installs" key is also necessary for your use-case (or any other PkgInfo keys), please submit a new suggestion and/or email us at [email protected] and let us know.
