  2. API support for enabling/disabling Bluetooth of an iOS device

    I have an automated process to configure enrolled devices using SimpleMDM API, and recently there is a need to enable/disable Bluetooth depending on the device groups, which is currently not available for the API.
    I understand that I can use the restrictions profile to prevent supervised devices from changing Bluetooth settings, and I can enable/disable BT from the Devices page, but it would be great if SimpleMDM can add this ability to the API, so I can integrate it into my automated process.

  5. Add device EID from DeviceInformationResponse.QueryResponses.ServiceSubscriptionProperty command

    Hello,

    as part of eSIM distribution it will be very nice to have EID of the devices accessible via API in device details (adding EID to portal will be also nice).

  7. Extend the assignment group API to support the new profile assignment feature.

    The new ability to assign profiles via assignment groups (with varying priority levels) is huge, and is going to make a big difference in our environment...

    ...but, there's not currently scope to

    a) assign profiles to assignment groups via the API

    and

    b) you can't set (or update) the profile priority in an assignment group via the API

    Please can we have this added to the API too?

  13. Expose a field for the date a device was first enrolled in SimpleMDM

    Hey there, I am guessing you store this information in your database already and just have not exposed it as a field on the site / in your API, but it would be incredibly helpful for us, decision-making wise, to be able to export (via API or CSV file) the date when our devices were first enrolled.

    We are trying to do proper analysis about, e.g. device-loss metrics over time, and without this field, we have to dig into our order history or our Apple DEP files and cross-associate/reconcile the information.

  14. Group or global level default custom attribute

    When using custom attributes for profiles, I would like the ability to have a globally defined default value for a custom attribute. This would be overridden by a group-level custom attribute (if specified), otherwise it would inherit from the global value. Finally, if the value could be overridden at the device level should that level of granularity be required.

    So the order of precedence (from lowest to highest) would be:
    • Global
    • Group
    • Device

    A use case of this is for password policies. I can create a custom password policy with a custom attribute like {{requiredlength}} to…

  15. let us download an uploaded IPA

    We recently had a case where we suspected that one of the app binaries that we uploaded wasn't the one we intended to release. We thought to download the IPA from SimpleMDM and do a hash check against the IPA we had locally, but wasn't able to find any way to download it from the SimpleMDM website.

  16. Show resolved Custom Attribute values if not currently overridden

    It would be great to be able to see the value a given device or group is inheriting from the default / group-defined value.

    For instance, if I have a globally defined passcode length of 4, and a group level passcode length of 6, then when I am viewing the attributes of a device in the aforementioned group, then I see "6" as the "prompt text" for the text field.

    This will allow me to know if I should define an override for this device/group or if the inherited value is what I want already without having to navigate away…

    Remember Group selected and # of devices to display on the Devices screen. Currently every time you navigate back to Devices page, it goes back to listing all groups and only the first 20 devices.

    The Devices page now remembers the number of devices (20, 40, or 100) selected. I will close this request, but if there are other options you'd like to see implemented (such as retaining group filter), I'd kindly ask that you submit a new suggestion.

  18. report macOS build number as well as macOS version

    At the moment Simple reports a macOS major version number - so 10.13.3 - but it was pointed out to me that build numbers can show when intermediate patches have been applied - which would be invaluable in showing devices in need of updates/patching.

    So - my machine is currently running 10.13.3(17D47)

  19. I would like to see the dock support more apps on the home screen layout profile

    what about allowing the dock to support more apps on the layout profile, right now it's limited to only like 4. an ipad can support way more
