  2. Add "1 day" to the dropdown for "When a device hasn't been seen" notification

    In your notifications section of the portal, I can select a minimum of 3
    days for the event lag:

    When a device hasn't been seen for
    3 days

    Please add an option for 1 day. Some of us need this for compliance with our security certs and auditors. Note that if someone sets this to 1 day and it's too "noisy" because people turn off their laptops on weekends or their device runs out of power during a
    holiday, then they could always switch it back to 3 days.

  4. Expose Custom App "Pre-stage priority" in API

    The Custom App Screen (https://a.simplemdm.com/admin/apps/{APP_ID}) allows for a configurable "Pre-stage priority" for Device-level App Installation during DEP enrollment. This value has a pre-set range of 0-10 (inclusive) available in the UI.

    Please update the Application API (https://a.simplemdm.com/api/v1/apps/) to:

    1. Expose the "Pre-stage Priority" value on all List/Retrieve responses for /api/v1/apps/
    2. Allow for setting the "Pre-stage Priority" during App Creation and App Update

    My organization is installing multiple Installer Packages during initial DEP enrollment, where some packages must be installed before others. We're currently managing this via manual uploads in the web console after our CI/CD process.…

  5. Allow Log Filter to Include API

    Currently when filtering the Logs, you can filter by the user making the change, but you cannot filter by API key. I would like the ability to quickly see the recent logs that the API has made.
    This may be classified as a bug, but was asked to submit here anyway.

  6. Report on systems using munki that are having problems connecting with MSC.

    Recently had an issue were my Managed Software Center was giving me a communication error. I was able to resolve this with support (tkt 373463). Now I'm wondering if any other systems in my fleet are having the same problem.

    It would be helpful if the SimpleMDM agent could report these issues back to the web console so the issue can be resolved.

  7. Add file server to Mac Finder

    The option to add a file server in the "Add Provider" menu. The setting should appear in the Finder "Connect to Server..." menu/option.

    Examples:
    smb://10.2.3.4
    afp://10.9.8.7
    ftps://server.example.com

    (But I'm not sure if this can be managed by MDM)

  8. Add Webhook trigger based off device change

    When new devices are enrolled, they have a random name set. We currently populate a drop down list of device names in our ticketing system but we cannot effectively add net new entries to this list because the device name at enrollment is not the name we want. It would be great if we could trigger a webhook to fire whenever a device's name is changed so we can update our list.

  10. Offer access to script jobs from MSC

    Not sure if this is possible, but I'd like to be able to assign script jobs, so they'd appear in the MSC. I know this is probably somewhat similar to NoPKG, but it would remove the hassle of authoring the PKG.

  11. Support API key expiration

    API keys currently never expire. A key can be regenerated to effectively expire it, but there's no way to do so by time. I'm specifically asking...

    • Add support for API keys to expire after 30, 60, 90 days, by timestamp, or never.
    • Optional. Let the API regenerate or expire keys. Ends up being a one key rules them all situation. Up to debate whether this is a secure approach.

  12. Ability to sort Apple VPP app by the version installed on device

    So I'm not clicking the Select All checkbox --> clicking Actions - Install Update for users who are already on the latest version (example in screenshot being v2.0.25 as the latest for that app)

  13. Checking the "Select All" checkbox should apply to ALL enrolled devices (not just the first 100)

    Meaning if I want to push an Apple VPP update to all enrolled devices, clicking the "Select All" checkbox only applies to the first 100 (as the ceiling).

    We currently only have 105x macOS devices enrolled, but are in the process of bringing over 850x others from VMWare Workspace ONE in a way that's "zero touch" for the user.
    You can imagine us having to click the "Select All" checkbox on each 9x pages containing 100x devices/each would be inefficient.

  15. Expand '\n' as carriage return in script output

    When running scripts via the SimpleMDM web interface, the log/history of a script run shows as a single line.

    It would be convenient to be able to see multi-line output within the web interface (instead of having to copy and paste the log output into a text document and then doing a find & replace of '\n' characters in order to be able to read it).

  17. Add description as argument for creating/updating custom configuration profiles

    When modifying custom configuration profiles in the web UI, there's an optional field for "Description (Optional description presented to the end user.)", which isn't exposed via the API.

    Some of the Rule Type values (Team IDs, for example) for the Login and Background Item Management are a bit abstract, and it would be useful to have a comment/description field added to allow an administrator to describe in plain language what a the Rule Type value applies to.
