Shared Apps addition
Hey!
Would it be possible to add FortiClient (https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads#vpn7) and Omnidisksweeper (https://www.omnigroup.com/more) to the library of Shared Apps? Thanks!
4 votesOmniDiskSweeper has been added to the catalog. Unfortunately, FortiClient is now distributed as a web-based installation package and therefore cannot be installed via SimpleMDM nor Munki.

Rotate Firmware Password option
We would like to use unique firmware password with the option to rotate the password, in case we have to share the password with the user at some point. Currently that would only possible with moving the device to a group without a firmware password, clear the firmware password and assign the device back to the original group.
Maybe there is a possibility like building a mechanism that sends out multiple commands (one to clear the password and one to set it again), which would effectively "rotate" the firmware password.
7 votesThis is now available. Verified firmware passwords can be rotated by clicking the "rotate" icon next to the firmware password field on the Device Details page.

Allow Profile installation dependent on macOS Versions
Allow certain profiles to only be deployed to certain versions of macOS.
I would like to be able to deploy certain profiles ONLY if the current macOS version is 10.16 or above. The MDM spec reports the OS version so using this as criteria for profile deployment would be a big enhancement going forward.22 votesOS version scoping is now available for System Extensions, Kernel Extensions, and Custom Configuration Profiles. Scoping functionality will continue to be added to other profiles in the near future.

Add a "Description" field for each Profile
I've been working with custom profiles recently, and realised that the description field can be relatively long and verbose.
I work in an organisation that values transparency and openness - and it struck me it would be amazing if each profile could have a couple of lines describing what it does... self-documenting MDM - so rather than an end user sticking in a ticket asking "what does this profile do???" the profile can tell you what it does...
See the screenshot for an example.

Wifi MAC randomization key support in UI
iOS 14 will default to using MAC address randomization when connecting to wifi networks. The current UI does not support that key in the built-in Profile builder.
This request is to add support for the key
DisableAssociationMACRandomization
to manage that feature per network.19 votes -
Allow control of the TLSTrustedServerNames field when configuring WiFi certificates
When deploying or upgrading machines to Big Sur, I'm finding a change in behavior vs Catalina, in that when connecting to an 802.1x network, BS devices are asking the user to approve a certificate, where Catalina devices do not. In https://macadmins.slack.com/archives/C016JHNMP1N/p1611939579192200 it is suggested that the 802.1x profile can support the TLSTrustedServerNames field. However, SimpleMDM does not offer this field in the Profiles:Wireless category. I think that having this would address the unwanted dialog. As documented at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/wifi/eapclientconfiguration , it seems this could be a field you could expose in the certificate management interface?

Webhook for new DEP devices
When a device is added to DEP it would be great to have a webhook notification.
My goal with this is to take that notification and have it create a new asset for the new Mac in our asset management system.
I think the Serial number would be the biggest needed component. I'm not sure what all information you can pull from Apple side, but if possible the order number would be really awesome to have and the date it was added to DEP on Apple's end.
Thanks!

Add Push Certificate about to expire notification
Add a "when the Push Certificate is about to expire" event to notifications.
If the email of the AppleID used to issue the Push Certificate is not actively monitored, it is easy to miss the email alerts. And letting the Push Certificate expire can cause significant interruptions.
To prevent such interruptions, please add a "when the Push Certificate is about to expire" event to notifications, so that the alert can be sent to actively monitored email addresses.
3 votesThis was added a while back we seem to have forgotten to mark it complete here. This option is now available under the Notifications section.

Enter multiple email addresses in the billing email field of account settings
For backup or other internal reasons, it could be helpful to be able to enter more than one recipient to be notified, once billing occured and to receive receipts. Maybe a separator like semicolon or comma could already do the trick?

Extend profiles API to include listing/managing all profiles
Currently the only profiles that can be managed via the API are custom configuration profiles.
Please extend management of the profiles to include all the profiles that can be created within the SimpleMDM web console so that these profiles can also be managed with the API.
Given there is no ability to assign devices to multiple device groups, using the API to ensure all device groups get the profiles required is the only means of ensuring consistent application of profiles to device groups.

Implement AllowNonAdminUserApprovals for macOS Kernel Extension policies
Starting in Big Sur, Apple requires a local user to explicitly allow kernel extensions to be installed, even if they are whitelisted by MDM policy. By default only admin-level accounts are permitted to do so, but this is not practical in environments that don't allow end-users to be admins. Any such kernel extensions, and the software that depends on them, are basically unusable after upgrading to Big Sur.
Please implement the new 'AllowNonAdminUserApprovals' option in macOS Kernel Extension profiles. This will allow our non-admin users to "approve" the required kexts and their software to function again. The public documentation hasn't…
5 votesPlease find the new “Other extension approval” option under the Kernel Extensions screen.

UI for profiles assigned to device
As we get option to assign profile to specific device (https://suggestions.simplemdm.com/forums/204404/suggestions/31773355) via API it will be brilliant to also have web UI to work with this.
Web UI should look similar to "Apps" page under device called "Profiles".
-List all profiles on device via https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/list_the_installed_profiles (this will list also profiles installed by user)
-Display if profile is managed or not
-Ability to display .mobileconfig/profile for user installed profiles (it is returned in ProfileListCommand command)
-Ability to re-push/reinstall profile(s) (API call to do this will be brilliant)
-Ability to add profile from configured profilesThanks David
12 votesThis is now available under the Profiles tab of the Device Details page. A list of assigned profiles for a device can be retrieved via API as well: https://simplemdm.com/docs/api/#list-profiles
