macOS 11+ - Please add support to skip the Accessibility setup pane when users log in
macOS 11+ has a new setup pane (Accessibility) when a user first logs in that isn't being skipped presently.
Could this please be added as an option to skip in the DEP Enrolment setup?
Thanks :)

Implement the language and region keys for Setup Assistant auto advance.
tvOS has the ability to Auto Advance through Setup Assistant. There are two keys that facilitate setting the correct language and region for these devices that are available in the device assignment profile that are not implemented in SimpleMDM.
Some discussions with another Mac admin suggest that these two keys also work with the recently implemented Auto Advance for Setup Assistant in macOS 11.
Implementation would be very helpful!

Wifi MAC randomization key support in UI
iOS 14 will default to using MAC address randomization when connecting to wifi networks. The current UI does not support that key in the built-in Profile builder.
This request is to add support for the key
DisableAssociationMACRandomization
to manage that feature per network.19 votes -

Not load agent in menu bar on macOS
The cloud agent icon in the menu bar is great for people that need it but it would be great if we had the ability to have that not load in the menu bar as we already have other things such as Nomad or SSO extensions payload that can be configured to have an option to open the Managed Software Centre.

Make the Security/OS Update settings queryable via the API
SimpleMDM now has some super useful data about device security posture available in the webUI only :(
Things like
"Firewall Status"
"System Integrity Protection Enabled" and
"Automatic OS Installation Enabled"Would be fantastic things to query via the API, for compliance reports etc etc.
If I had to prioritise, I'd want Firewall status first (because my stakeholders want it!) but more of the "Security" and "OS Update Settings" data would be amazing and much appreciated :)
Thanks

Make available the list of user accounts that exist on MacOS systems.
Apple's MDM protocol allows the list of users to be queried from managed systems:
It would be very helpful for us if this information could be displayed in the SimpleMDM Web UI. Thank you!

increase app upload size
Currently unable to upload software installers over 2000MB. With the addition of Munki and further MacOS integration, it would be helpful to increase upload size. This is especially true on packages like Adobe CC. I am sure there are other examples out there.
1 voteUpload size limit has been increased to 4 GB. If additional capacity is needed, please open a new feature request with information on the particular package you are wishing to upload, including its size.

Bugfix... SimpleMDM cannot "see" multiple macOS apps with the same identifier
We're using SimpleMDM to help with software compliance. We've discovered that if two apps share the same app identifier (so org.mozilla.firefox for example) - SimpleMDM's software view will only list the first one discovered.
This is particularly painful for apps like Pycharm - where "Pycharm" and "Pycharm Community Edition" share the same app identifier - so it's impossible to tell which version someone is using... or perhaps they have both versions installed.
Can you add the ability to capture duplicate installs (which their own app identifier) please?
This issue is making our software compliance team very sad indeed.

Customized Managed Software Centre
It would be great to have a way to customize the Munki Managed Software Centre now that Munki integration is part of the beta. If there was a way to apply something like Munki Theme Creator files (https://grovetech.co/blog/munki-theme-creator-for-munki/) This would be amazing.
41 votesSimpleMDM's Munki integration now supports the ability to set a custom banner image for the Managed Software Center. Here is a link to the KB documentation: https://docs.simplemdm.com/article/144-munki-settings
I will mark this suggestion as completed for now so that users will get their votes back, but if there are additional changes / MSC customization options that you would like to see implemented, please do not hesitate to submit a new suggestion.

API endpoint to show if macOS device has user channel enrolled
It would be helpful for us to have an API endpoint that can tell our integrations whether or not the user channel has been enrolled for a macOS device. This could be as simple as a true/false; bonus points if we can somehow get the user name (not sure if MDM spec permits this).

Allow Profile installation dependent on macOS Versions
Allow certain profiles to only be deployed to certain versions of macOS.
I would like to be able to deploy certain profiles ONLY if the current macOS version is 10.16 or above. The MDM spec reports the OS version so using this as criteria for profile deployment would be a big enhancement going forward.22 votesOS version scoping is now available for System Extensions, Kernel Extensions, and Custom Configuration Profiles. Scoping functionality will continue to be added to other profiles in the near future.

API add ability to push updated app to all installs
The API currently allows for updating an existing binary: https://simplemdm.com/docs/api/#update-2 But this does NOT push out the update to all installs like it gives you the option of doing on the Web UI.
Please add a boolean flag (maybe "push"?) or something similar to the the app update endpoint so that I can update the app binary and push it out all in one command.
We are currently working to automate our app deployment process with a CI solution and not being able to push the app forces us to open SimpleMDM on the web and push out the update…

The ability to set "Auto Lock to Never"
We really need to set Auto Lock to Never as part of the "Restrictions" profile, is this possible?
1 voteThe MDM feature you are referring to is already available under the “Passcode Policy” payload. The key, specifically, is “Maximum auto-lock time” and the value you’re interested in is “Infinite”.
Worth noting is that Apple MDM does not actually let you specify the auto-lock time on a device. Rather, it lets you specify a maximum value only, then permitting the user to specify their own value that meets your requirements. If Apple expands these capabilities in the future, we will be happy to implement them.
Finally, there is one way to disable auto lock and that is in conjunction with single app lock. If you are planning on restricting the user to just one app, you can use a “Single App Lock” profile, select the app, and check the box next to “Disable auto lock”.

Profile PayloadIdentifier discoverable
This request is to make discovering the SimpleMDM Profile PayloadIdentifier discoverable via API, web UI, or ideally, both.
With Big Sur requiring silent Profile installs to come from MDM, I, and many others, will need to look at getting local
profiles
installed Profiles installed via MDM instead. Seeing as the Profiles installed may have critical settings or payloads, there will need to be care taken to identify which manual installed Profile coincides with an MDM installed Profile. One way to do that is to make note of what the PayloadIdentifier is for the MDM delivered Profile and act accordingly on…4 votesThe “profile_identifier” key has been added to the custom configuration profiles endpoint.

Integrate with AutoPkg
Please provide a consumable url for packages distributed via the Munki method for use with AutoPkg as a MUNKIREPO e.g. `defaults write com.github.autopkg MUNKIREPO /path/to/munki_repo`. Most Munki admins leverage AutoPkg for programmatic package management. Lovely work, thanks!

Add a webhook for a device lock.enabled event
At the moment there's no obvious feedback that a lock command has been received and processed. It would awesome if there was a webhook triggered when a device responds to a lock command...
