Maximum macOS version should include unreleased/imaginary OS versions
Right now the max macOS version I can select for Big Sur (for example) is 11.6.5. I would like to specify a max version of <12 or 11.99.
For Monterey, I would like to be able to specify <13 or 12.99.

Add ability to disable App Library in Dock (IOS)
IOS 15 by default places an app library icon on the dock. This can be manually toggled off via IOS settings, but want ability to do this with MDM to keep Dock layout exactly as shown on Home Screen Layout profile.

Add Last Reboot detail to Devices
I'd like to be able to see when a device was last rebooted. If not in a column on the main Devices page, at least in the info tab of Device Details.

Add a column for notes/location on the Devices screen
On the main Devices screen, add a column for a notes field to detail location (probably a separate one from what's in the Device details/Settings tab so that can be used for more detailed info), so I could add info like "2nd floor", "Pam's office", etc and have it sortable & searchable

Add VPN Tracker 365 to Shared Apps list
It would be convenient to have the VPN Tracker 365 app within the list of Shared Apps (Munki).
The download page for that app is here: https://www.vpntracker.com/us/download.html
The 'Enterprise' installer for VPN Tracker 365 (which may be preferred) is here: https://www.vpntracker.com/download/VPN%20Tracker%20365%2022.0.0%20Enterprise%20Installer.pkg

Devices API and Webhook should include Managed Apple ID
When using User Enrollment, the managed apple id is shown in the dashboard ui. However, this info is not included in device api or webhook request data.
Please add this information into both device api and webhook, it will be super helpful to identify device to user.
Thank you.

Link to the group's devices when viewing a group's Details page
When viewing a Group Details page, have a link to that group's devices.
It's a bit frustrating to land on the Group Details page and then have to go out to all Groups and then click on the number of devices on that page to then view the devices. I can't tell you how many times I've mindlessly clicked on the group name to view devices just to be annoyed and have to go back and click the device number instead. (As a relevant aside, using the device number to see a group's devices isn't ideal. The click target changes…

Feature match Addigy's Azure Identity
Addigy offers the ability for device user accounts to be authenticated via AzureAD. Would love to see SimpleMDM do this. For more: https://support.addigy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403542744211-Addigy-Identity-Overview

Add an ability to deliver any type of file to the device
I have been writing scripts that export files (company logos, custom apps without signatures, etc) from base64 encoded strings and while it works it is tedious to do.
It would be nice to have a form on the admin portal where we can upload a file or set of files (of any type) and specify the file path where we would like those files to be deployed on the managed device.
The Add Media function already has pdf and epub covered here, but this would dramatically expand the delivery capabilities of the MDM.

The email sent to users added to the mdm portal should indicate the name of the role they have been granted
Currently when a user is added to any role, custom or predefined, they are sent an email saying they have been added as an administrator:
"A SimpleMDM user at [email protected] has granted you administrative permissions to their "XYZ" account."
Ideally the message should indicate the role in particular rather than a blanked "admin", for example if a role named Support is assigned to the user:
"A SimpleMDM user at [email protected] has granted you Support permissions to their "XYZ" account."

Compare Profiles
It would be helpful to have a tool that would allow comparing profiles. In particular custom profiles, but I could see this being helpful with the others as well.

Implement 2FA / OTP recovery codes
In case of loss of the device generating the OTP codes (think stolen / broken phone with Google Authenticator), SimpleMDM offers no way to recover one's account.
Most high-profile services (Google, Facebook, Github, etc.) when activating 2FA offer to save a list of one-time use recovery codes, used to gain access to one's account again. This makes it possible to setup 2FA on a new device.
It would be nice if SimpleMDM had such a feature.
Thanks !

Now that custom attributes are supported in scripts, it would be great to see them supported in pre- and post-install scripts in Munki. Thanks!

Allow managment of System app on multiple devices
Currently we can delete a managed app from multiple devices, but if the app isnt managed (such as pre0install Apple apps) you have to drill down to each device individually and choose to manage the app before it can be deleted.

Block/prevent local logins when SAML is enabled
I appreciate that you need to login with a local account to setup the SAML settings initially... but we have a requirement that all access to applications is managed through an IdP and that there's not a "back door" that can bypass the IdP.
We could live with working with support to enable/disable local login if there was an issue with SAML.
Access to MDM grants a lot of power to a fleet of devices - we'd like more central control over who has access...
