  1. import a CSV containing device information for enrollment

    We would like to see the ability to upload a CSV exported from our previous mobile device manager to send mass text messages with a group enrollment link.
    Use Case: We currently have about 400 devices in the field that need to be remotely enrolled.
    This is low priority, we will use the QR code to enroll all of the devices just fine. This is just an improvement suggestion for the future.

  2. refresh multiple devices or groups

  3. Add Support for onboard or installed S/MIME Certificates

    It would be awesome if ActiveSync Email Accounts provided by a Provider could allow for either manually installed (onboard) or MDM provided S/MIME certificates.

    Please email the billing invoices as an attached PDF, this facility makes it so much easier to put into third party apps for reporting financial expenses.

  7. Add the ability to see if an app is installed against all users

    End goal: Ability to see which users have or have not installed a certain app.

    Idea 1: Have an 'apps' tab where you can filter on select apps against a list of all users and if they have the app or not.
    Idea 2: Export of all apps installed for all users where I can manually find out where the app isn't listed against the persons name to see that they have not installed the app.

    Use-case: I am deploying an app within my organisation and I want to be able to see which users have or haven't installed it.…

  9. Implement a self enrolment portal for end users

    I would like to be able to get users to simply enrol in SimpleMDM through a URL, similar to JAMFnow enrolment portal.

    This is a very simple way to boost enrolment on user side and allows administrators to easily enrol devices on the go. No longer remembering long enrolment URLs.

    JAMFnow workflow
    User goes to company.jamfnow.com
    User is provided with dropdown list of available groups to enrol in
    User is prompted for first name and last name
    User is asked to enter a passcode (set by admin)
    User clicks enrol and is now provided with relevant profile

  10. Locked onto wifi network

    It would be very beneficial for us to have the option to lock our devices onto a particular Wi-Fi network. We have several networks, but only 1 setup with the correct access and printers. If there was a way to lock our devices onto this network only, it would avoid a lot of issues that we have been having.

    Thank you for allowing this space to share creative thought in the ongoing development of SimpleMDM. May some of my ideas have already been discussed, maybe not-- regardless I trust this will be taken into consideration.

    We need students to be able pick from a list of suggested apps via a self-service app or page. These are not VPP apps, rather they are apps that students will purchase personally.

  16. maintain lost mode when a device is re-enrolled

    I've noticed that when a user re-enrolls a device, the lost mode is not maintained , and we have to set lost mode again manually, would be good if this could be maintained or if lost mode could be set automatically on a specific device group (e.g. for lost or stolen devices)

  17. Further Document or Create Tutorial for SimpleMDM App Deployment

    I've seen mentioned in Slack and seen in my own deployments that a fair amount of confusion comes from having SimpleMDM appear to be listed as an available app, even though a customer still needs to purchase it via VPP in order to deploy it. In my own first usage, I attempted to deploy with out purchasing, and when I figured out what was going on, I was able to correct the problem, but the installation took some time.     Allow users to visit https://company.simplemdm.com enter a passcode then fill in Full Name to create the certificate to download. Then on the list of devices, the User and serial is recorded for search.
