Creating Subgroups
Within my school structure I have groups created by grade. I would like to be able to create subgroups for foreign language, honors vs standard, etc. so that i can push paid apps to only a small segment of a group, and to be able to put devices into multiple subgroups.

Allow rules and restrictions to pertain only to devices logged in to our network
We only want to manage or restrict BYOD devices when they are at our school, not at student homes.

Automanage of Added Applications
I'd like the ability to automatically "manage" new apps added to an iOS device. I should not have to "ask" the user to manage the app. If i have them on an MDM solution, then I should have the ability to manage all apps from the iTunes store from the start. Or make this an option. Maybe it already is and I've not noticed it.

find a way to automatically shutdown all devices of a given group (scheduled time, manual action from SimpleMDM website, network signal...)
For kiosk/museal applications, it is a key feature to have the devices shut down automatically every night when store/museum closes. And ideally to have them start up automatically in the morning - whereas this can be achieved by restoring the power...

Admin lockout of map path tracking
It's really cool from an admin perspective that you keep a history of a device's location. From a user perspective, that's really creepy, and we do not want that functionality.
Best outcome would be to not store this data at all. However, even if the information is still stored somewhere in a database, can we please have the option to turn off the display of location history on a map?
This is a critical security concern.

maintain lost mode when a device is re-enrolled
I've noticed that when a user re-enrolls a device, the lost mode is not maintained , and we have to set lost mode again manually, would be good if this could be maintained or if lost mode could be set automatically on a specific device group (e.g. for lost or stolen devices)

Have a historic log of tracking information?
Would be great if you could search for historic tracking information?

Retain Device Group Scope
When working with a device group, if I take an action on a device or group of devices, the page reloads and resets my view back to "All Device Groups." It would be MUCH more useful if taking an action kept me at the current device group view instead of resetting to the default.

API to revoke vpp licenses
In SimpleMDM you can revoke vpp licenses. It would be great if this is possible via SimpleMDM API.

Setup wireless to allow for open networks
Within the wireless settings, put in an option to allow for connecting to open networks. Would be good for public wireless connections that may need to go thru an acceptance screen or a proxy filter to allow connection. Currently it is only feasible thru a profile manager .config file custom attribute import. Would be nice to have this directly available in wireless security options.

Expose md5 and/or Other Checksum(s) of Enterprise Apps in Catalogue
Once an app binary has been uploaded and deployed to devices via MDM it can be hard to find which particular build is actually deployed to the world.
If you may happen to have binaries that share the same BundleID, CFBundleVersion, and CFBundleVersionShortString there is no way to tell which app is actually uploaded. If we could see an md5 checksum or sha1 or sha256 it wold be a nice and easy way to know with confidence which binary was uploaded.

SHow a list of locked devices
Show a list of locked devices or show more status on the main screen.
Group, model, status, last seen only on device screen. More data can be shown on the general devices screen.2 votes -
Make it possible to "uncheck all" options in a Restrictions Profile
It's might make creating a new restrictions profile more efficient if I could "uncheck all" Restrictions checkboxes, or "uncheck all" on a per section basis of the Restrictions profile.

Add profile payload type "Directory"
We need the ability to enrol macs into AD. This is done via the Directory payload, but I can't find a profile for it in Simple MDM. Before this is present, we can't switch to Simple MDM and is stuck with Apples Profile Manager.

Ability to disable the guest user
It would be great if we could disable guest users on macOS for security reasons.

Employee Roster
Relatively minor request: an employee roster who you could "assign" devices to. This could be a sortable column on the device list and would prevent you from having to including the employee name in the device name or notes. The only alternative I can think of is to create a device group for each employee and assign the devices accordingly. But this would be grossly inefficient.

Show Device Lock status via webUI and API
So - similar to JP's suggestion... https://suggestions.simplemdm.com/forums/204404-suggestions/suggestions/36523045-show-a-list-of-locked-devices
BUT - at the moment a device can have one of three statuses returned via the API
*enrolled
*enrolling
*unenrolledCould you also add
*Lock Command sent
*Lock command received(or similar) as a status. We're in a position where we want to prevent multiple device admins sending lock commands to the same lost device. Yes you can check the logs first, but are folk really going to do that?
We also want to build a lock functionality via the API - and want to be able to check if a lock command…

Filter on a field
For example, show me only devices whose firmware password isn't set.
Also, it would be handy to be able to generate a report for this rather than just a search filter.
