  1. Device audit screen? Find duplicates, sort by last seen?

    Would love to see an administrative screen that accomplishes a few things:

    1. Lets us quickly identify duplicate entries, e.g. If a device was enrolled, then reset, then enrolled again (deduplicate by serial number) so we can cleanup.

    2. Identify devices that may have gone missing or devices that have been offline for a suspicious amount of time (combination of last-seen and location change data visible at a glance)

    Our use case is we want to conduct, e.g. Weekly device audits, and right now going through the listing manually is a pain.

    Closing due to inactivity (no votes/comments for 5+ years). This may be partially solved by the introduction of dynamic groups. If not, please submit a new request with specifics about what kind of data you'd like to see represented in a device audit screen.

  2. Possible to control supervised device brightness settings via SimpleMDM?

    Hey there,

    If possible, I would love to be able to remotely configure/control a supervised iOS device's brightness settings via SimpleMDM.

    I am already aware of the setting to disable auto-lock for supervised devices, but right now the screen is still dimming.

    Is it possible to control the device's brightness slide remotely?

    Our use case is a deployment of kiosk-mode devices that are locked down to using the Safari app to display content.

    We have received complaints that the device screens are too dim.

    Would prefer not to have to manually adjust the settings on each in-person.

    Apple does not currently support this. Some kiosk software does, however, so we suggest checking with your kiosk software manufacturer.

  3. Enable/disable + Configure SSID/passphrase for wifi hotspots

    I'd like to be able to configure the wifi hotspots on the devices managed by simple MDM.

  4. Limit or remove access to Airplane mode

    Tracking can be removed if the device is allowed to go into Airplane mode. For users that will never use the device on the airplane or travel there should be a way to limit the Airplane mode capability. This would be nice so that the device can be tracked all of the time.

    Apple does not currently make it possible to configure or restrict the Airplane Mode setting on devices via MDM. Sorry.

  7. API to add Accounts to Devices

    Extend the API to allow adding Accounts to each Device, so this can be automated, it can be time consuming adding multiple accounts to each new device or changing the username/password when the device is reassigned.

    Declining because the Quarantine feature has been deprecated and removed. However, if a feature that allows automatically locking devices based on some criteria is still of interest, please feel free to open a new suggestion.

  10. Support for Checkpoint Capsule VPN

    Brsides the Ciscos, F5 and Sonicwall you should add support for the Checkpoint Firewalls and their VPN (via Capsule app?).
    Connecting over L2TP is not as practical.

  11. API endpoint to request an updated location

    We would like to use the API to do automatic location audits, however the location is often not as up to date as we would like. An API endpoint that mirrors the "update" button on the device map would be very helpful!

    Apple unfortunately does not provide the functionality for us to access the crash logs via MDM.

  18. map view pin annotations

    in map view I see pins for all my ipads, and clicking the pin takes me to that ipads config page. However in mapview I cant see who is who without poping up a new window. It would be nice if the pins all had annotations so I could see who was where without opening a new window.
